Each new microTALK unit comes with a belt-clip holster that provides consumers with a convenient way to wear the device and can also function as a desk stand.PR 1000 2-Way Radio has a range up to 5 miles in GMRS. This effective range can be shortened under some conditions. The microTALK line of Family Radio Service communicators combine great looks, high performance and an extremely compact design to make it even easier to stay in touch while you're on the go.If you want a little more power in your two-way radio, the Cobra microTALK PR 1000 is the model for you. This radio offers the greater range of General Mobile Radio Service (GMRS)--plus seven channels of Family Radio Service, enabling you to communicate with friends and family who have FRS radios.
The PR 1000 features an output of 2 watts on high power for up to a 5-mile range and 0.5 watts on low power. Other radio features include 38 privacy codes, key lock, a backlit LCD display, and a SuperFlex detachable antenna that allows for the use of a mobile antenna. The radio body is water resistant and comes with a desk stand/belt clip. It operates on six AA batteries for up to 20 hours. Cobra covers this radio with a two-year limited warranty.
